James R. Larkin, Sales Agent
After graduating in 2007 from Texas A&M University-Kingsville with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Science and a minor in Plant and Soil Science, James returned home to become a full-time, fourth- generation rancher. He and his father, Thomas, formed Cordele Cattle Company. During his time ranching, he has had experience working with landowners, hunting tenants, as well as oil and gas interests. He farmed corn, beans, and milo for three years and enjoyed working with the land as well as being able to watch his crops grow.
While continually staying atop everyday ranching duties, James learned that diversification is key to a successful agricultural operation. He acquired his real estate Sales Agent license in 2010 and also began performing livestock and equipment appraisals, as well as inspections for local agricultural lending institutions. James also assists his brother who owns and operates a livestock reproduction business, performing artificial insemination, embryo transfer, and in-vitro fertilization procedures in cattle.
Always an advocate of rural real estate, James has a proven appreciation for the land. James also fully recognizes the importance of passing those same principles and admirations on to his young son and daughter, Cooper and Kaylee. James, his wife Cameron, along with Cooper and Kaylee reside in northern Jackson County, Texas.
